Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) joins forces with Kentucky’s newest initiative to save lives and make KY the best place to give birth and to be born.

The Launch of the Kentucky Perinatal Quality Collaborative (KyPOC) brought together some of the Commonwealth’s best organizers to create an active collaboration to improve the quality of perinatal care.

Women and newborn healthcare providers and public health professionals gathered to discuss tangible efforts to improve the
accessibility of care for mothers and newborns.

Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) offers a specialized team of physicians who are dedicated and trained on obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) who provide a wide range of services needed throughout every stage in a patient’s life. PMC’s
dedicated team of OB-GYNs are here to meet health needs from puberty through a patient’s childbearing years,
menopause and beyond.

“OB/GYNs are essential in providing care and counseling during all stages of a woman’s life,” said Senior VP, Assistant
CEO and Chief Medical Officer, Aaron Crum, MD. “I believe this physician/patient relationship is one of the most
important in healthcare.”

PMC Offers a physician-led practice for patients to take care of and deliver babies, manage higher-risk pregnancies, and perform surgeries. “PMC offers minimally invasive gynecological surgery and state-of-the-art obstetrical care, ” said Dr. Crum. “We are proud to provide our patients with the most advanced technology and equipment for all of their healthcare needs.”
